About Broomfield Roofing By Design

Broomfield, Colorado
Broomfield Roofing By Design roof inspection and repair

How we got here

The company grew out of storm work. After the big hail years, homeowners across Broomfield, Westminster and Thornton were sorting through a pile of door-hanger quotes from crews that would be gone by the next season. We set out to be the roofer who was still in town three years later when the warranty mattered, and the way to do that was to slow the first visit down.

So the first visit is a walk on the roof, not a glance from the truck. We photograph every slope, every penetration and the gutters, and you keep the photos whether or not you hire us.

What Front Range weather does to a roof

This part of Colorado sits in hail alley, and a roof here gets tested by hail in the spring, hundred-degree sun at altitude in the summer, chinook winds that lift shingles in the fall, and heavy wet snow in the winter. That is four different failure modes on one roof in one year.

Our answers to that are consistent from house to house: impact-rated Class 4 shingles offered on every residential replacement, a full ice and water membrane at the eaves and valleys, proper attic ventilation so the deck stays dry, and starter and ridge products that are actually rated for the wind we get.

Insurance work, done straight

A lot of our replacements are insurance claims after hail. We meet the adjuster on the roof, we document what we found, and we scope the job to match what the policy covers. What we will not do is inflate a claim, waive a deductible, or put a roof on that the claim does not support. Those shortcuts are how homeowners end up with a denied claim and a half-finished roof.

If the damage does not justify a claim, we say so, and we quote the repair instead.

Commercial and low-slope roofs

The same crews that handle steep residential work also handle TPO and modified bitumen on the low-slope commercial buildings around Broomfield, Louisville and Superior. Flat roofs fail at the seams, the drains and the wall flashings, and we treat those details with the same photo record and written scope as a home.

What you can expect

A written scope before any work, with the repair and the replacement priced separately when both make sense. A crew that shows up with the materials on the truck, tarps the landscaping, and runs magnets over the yard at the end of every day. One point of contact from the first walk-through to the final inspection. And a company that answers the phone when you call back in year three.
